The Comedy Of Errors

Date: Jul 14
2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Where: Courtyard
Cost: Free Event!

The Shakespeare By The Sea Festival is the longest running outdoor summer theatre event in the St. John's area, celebrating over 25 years of theatre production with a focus on William Shakespeare.

In 2019, for the first time, you can join us at the Fortis Courtyard and Amphitheatre for Shakespeare's The Comedy of Errors. In this, one of Shakespeare's most enduring comedies, hilarity ensues when two sets of identical twins, separated as infants in a sea storm, turn up years later in the same town on the same day. The multiple instances of mistaken identity create confusion between master and servant and lead to hilarious complications on the domestic front. It all concludes in a blissful family reunion. You won't want to miss this most farcical of Shakespearean comedies.

Please note: In the event of inclement weather, the performance will be moved inside to The Rooms 3rd Floor atrium or the theatre.

The Comedy of Errors runs Saturdays and Sundays at 2:00 PM from July 6th to August 11th and is directed by SBTS Festival Artistic Director, Paul Rowe.
