St. John's Circus Mania: 1925

In 1925 the Great War Veterans Association brought the "Ultra Modern Society Circus" to St. John's as a fundraiser. Opening in November for a ten day run the circus played to twenty five thousand people! It was a culmination of a year of circus mania in St. John's. This talk will explore the world of St. John's in the twenties and the year the circus came to town.
