Free admission to exhibitions and programs! BOARDER X LAUNCH - Skateboarding all weekend long! Get stoked... this is your chance to skate The Rooms! Join us for a weekend full of board culture as we launch the exhibition Boarder X. 10 am - 2 pm Open Skate - Any skater from the community can reserve a time with the VANS instructor on the half-pipe. 2 - 4 pm Film Festival - Don't miss this curated selection of historic local skate videos along with a screening of the most recent skate feature, Greened Out by Jared Hawco. ___________________________________________________________ 10 am - 5 pm - Experience Art! Explore our permanent collection exhibition Truth of Myth? then try your hand at a fun drawing exercise. You can make postcards in the gallery, then mail them to your family and friends. 12:30 pm and 2 pm - Food Samples - Level 2 - Taste one of our ever popular Purity products. Try a lemon cream or a purity kiss. 2 - 3 pm - Tai Chi in Level 3 Art Gallery - In Celebration of Senior's Day. Join us for a Taoist Tai Chi demonstration with the local chapter of Fung Loy Kok Taoist Tai Chi in recognition of Seniors Day. 2 - 4 pm - Family Fun Craft Time - Art Gallery Classroom, Level 2 - Join us for a fun afternoon crafting sports memorabilia. Participate in one of our sporting challenges such as hula hooping! 3 pm - Guided Tour: Newfoundland and Labrador's Memories of the First World War, Level 2, Royal Newfoundland Regiment Gallery - Learn about the thoughts, hopes, fears, and sacrifices of Newfoundlanders and Labradorians who experienced the First World War.
Kickstart your weekend by joining us at The Rooms! Spend Saturday mornings with your little ones in our charming Harbour View Room. It's a delightful opportunity for unguided playtime amidst a variety of toys and books tailored for toddlers aged 2 to 4.
There's no need to pre-register; simply pay your admission at The Rooms front desk and then drop in anytime between 10 am and noon and let the weekend festivities commence!
While the activities are designed for children aged 2 to 4, younger kids are more than welcome. Caregivers are required to accompany their children throughout the session. Our program room can accommodate up to 20 adults with their little ones, but if it's full, caregivers are encouraged to step back momentarily to allow space for others to join in the fun.
The Playdate is included in the cost of admission. Free for Rooms Members.
