Engaging Evening: In Search of St. Nicholas

Date: Dec 4
7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Where: Theatre
Cost: $10.01

Author and Santa Claus, Bruce Templeton will be joining us as we enjoy a magical evening retracing the history of Christmas. A challenged child writes a letter to the North Pole asking if the Reindeer can fly backwards. He wants to go back in time and give away his most treasured possession, his own teddy bear to someone who will love and accept him for who he is and for the skills that he has.

On this journey, he meets every Christmas tradition that many have grown up with. With Santa, he finds the first Teddy Bears picnic; meets Virginia O'Hanlon; Charles Dickens (A Christmas Carol); Clement Moore ('Twas the Night Before Christmas) and many others. He even finds Nicholas of Myra in Turkey in 243 AD.

ASL/English Interpreting Services are available through NLAD by request only to ASLservices@therooms.ca or 709-757-8090. We will do our best to accommodate requests made within two weeks of the scheduled event.
