Why not join Conductor and Music Director Marc David and NSO's very own Atlantic String Quartet (Principal String Players with the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra) so you can Get to Know Your NSO! In this session there will be a variety of lovely music, educational information about the NSO, and a Q and A session where you can ask your questions. Established in 1962 and incorporated in 1979, the Newfoundland Symphony Orchestra (NSO) helps make our province a better place in which to live by fostering the live performance of orchestral music. The orchestra performs more than 25 times each year offering educational and concert experiences to more than 15,000 Newfoundlanders & Labradorians, including many young music lovers. ASL/English Interpreting Services are available through NLAD by request only to ASLservices@therooms.ca or 709-757-8090. We will do our best to accommodate requests made within two weeks of the scheduled event
Taking inspiration from Toby Rabinowitz’s exhibition, A World Within A World, visitors can choose an animal silhouette provided by us and decorate it with brightly-coloured patterns using various shapes and materials.
Toby’s artwork is full of bright, imagined worlds with magical creatures and friends playing together. She says her work is for kids and happy adults – make sure you stop in to look for yourself in the art gallery on level 4.
What magical creature will you create?
Drop-in program – no registration is required.
