Join Darryn Doull, Curator of Canadian Art, for an informal tour of Loops to Live By. Over the tour, Doull will discuss each of the main sections of the exhibition, beginning with hooked rugs produced by the International Grenfell Association in the early 20th century. We will cover approximately 100 years of rug hooking in Newfoundland and Labrador and see how today's artists are using this historical craft in contemporary art. ASL/English Interpreting Services are available through NLAD by request only to ASLservices@therooms.ca or 709-757-8090. We will do our best to accommodate requests made within two weeks of the scheduled event.
