Join us for an evening of music to celebrate famed Newfoundland musician Harry Hibbs. A local legend and celebrated accordion player, Harry Hibbs’s music will be showcased by The Hamiliton Sound Band with special guests Bud Davidge and the Marion and Bart McCarthy Band.
As a result of Harry’s remarkable contribution to the culture and heritage of Newfoundland and Labrador, we are honoured to highlight Harry Hibbs at The Rooms and proudly display Harry’s accordion. This event recognizes Harry Hibbs’ work and connects music lovers, and accordion aficionados.
Tickets are $35 and seats are limited. Restrictions due to COVID 19 will be in place for everyone’s safety. Cash bar will be available. Tickets can be purchased in person at the admission desk or by calling 757-8090.

- Contact information will be collected when tickets are purchased and must reflect the person attending the event. Should the ticket be used by someone else please have them contact Visitors Services to update the contact information associate with that ticket.
- Tickets are numbered and seats cannot be changed.
- Masks must be worn at all times when moving throughout the building but can be removed once the program has commenced.

Join us for a delightful morning at The Rooms! Bring your little ones to our enchanting Harbour View Room for unguided playtime surrounded by an array of toys and books tailored for infants and toddlers aged 0 to 4.
No prior registration is necessary; simply pay your admission at The Rooms front desk and drop in anytime between 10:30 am and 12:00 pm! Space is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Please note that caregivers must accompany their children throughout the session. While our program room can accommodate up to 20 adults with their little ones, if it reaches capacity, we kindly ask caregivers to momentarily step back to make room for others to join in the fun.
The Playdate is included in the cost of admission. Free for Rooms Members.

A workshop just in time for Halloween! Following a visit to the Connections Gallery to see some animal skeletons up close, be inspired to create an embroidered animal skeleton to add to your seasonal décor (or keep it up all year if that is your vibe!).
Great for beginners or experienced stitchers.
All supplies, including hoops, threads, needles, and fabrics, are provided.

Come in your costume or as you are and enjoy Halloween at The Rooms! Get your spook on with some of our fang-tastic activities. Make a spider crown or a friendly ghost at one of our craft stations.
We’ve been told the friendly ghosts are back in the building. Can you find them? How many can you count? Enter your answer for the chance to win a prize! The friendly ghosts will be hanging around until October 31.

In this exhibition, find out about the impacts of the First World War on Newfoundlanders and Labradorians and how events overseas dramatically altered our lives at home.
