About the performers:
The YY Guzheng Ensemble is a community band featuring the Guzheng, a traditional Chinese string instrument, accompanied by classical Western string instruments and piano. Over the last couple of years, the group has evolved from playing together in living rooms to having more than 15 regular members, from school children to retirees. Under the guidance of well-known music educator, Yaying Tu, the group has become more visible in the local community, performing at cultural events and music competitions. Through music, they embrace cultural diversity and promote multiculturalism.
