Join the Quintessential Vocal Ensemble (QVE) as they kick off their 30th Anniversary season with a very special concert: Face to the Wind 2

The performance will include several newly commissioned choral arrangements of works by local songwriters Dolores Hynes, and the late Ron Hynes.

March 25 is also the day the WWF will celebrate Earth Hour, when millions of people around the world join in raising awareness of the nature crises facing our planet.

In keeping with the tradition, QVE will go "lights out" at 8:30 to perform a thematic set of songs centering around Earth, Sea, and Sky.

The choir will also be joined by special guest artist, Jackie Sullivan to close out the show.

For centuries, fishing for cod has played a vital role in the lives of the peoples of Newfoundland and Labrador. Generations of fishing men, women and children made use of the land and sea to sustain them and spent their lives “making fish”.

In Beaumont-Hamel and the Trail of the Caribou exhibition find out about the impacts of the First World War on Newfoundlanders and Labradorians and how events overseas dramatically altered our lives at home.
