How can slowing down and close looking help with wellbeing? Research shows visiting museums and art galleries can have a positive impact on wellness. Mindfulness teacher, Emily Lewis invites participants to join her at The Rooms to learn more about slowing down, close looking, and playing with lens of focus to shift perspectives.

About the Instructor:
Emily is an accredited Mindfulness teacher and group facilitator holding a Master of Science in Mindfulness-Based Interventions from University College Dublin. She has extensive experience developing accessible and unique mindfulness programs and a stellar reputation for creating an inviting, engaging, and interactive learning environment for her participants. Her work is rooted in exploration and a passionate conviction that we can all learn to wake up to our lives by slowing down, getting curious, and not taking ourselves too seriously.
Drawing on maps, hydrographic charts, textual records and sketches from The Rooms archival collection, hear the story of seasonal French fishermen, les gardiens, and how the Treaty of Utrecht shaped the Petit Nord on Newfoundland’s northern coast.
