Art Gallery Opening Reception

You are invited to join us for a free public art gallery opening reception!
Blood and Breath, Skin and Dust, curated by Susan Gibson Garvey, focuses on eight years of interdisciplinary artist Kim Morgan’s research and artistic production. Employing electron microscopy, this immersive installation of sculptural objects, sound and video bridges the gap between science, medicine and art.
Live music provided by Gary Johnston, refreshments and a cash bar for 19+. Admission to the Art Gallery exhibitions will be free during the event.

The exhibition is funded by Arts Nova Scotia, the Canada Council for the Arts and Halifax Regional Municipality. Individual works have received support from Artpace San Antonio, Arts Nova Scotia, Dalhousie Medical School and Ferno Canada.

You will be treated to hand served coffee and tea along with a delicious scone, thick cream and jam – all in a setting with a stunning view overlooking the Narrows.
The program also includes admission to the galleries and a special take away treat.
