A conversation with Activist and Artist, Billy Gauthier and Art Educator, Jason Sellars, followed by an engaging question-and-answer.
Billy Gauthier has been carving since 1996, sculpting using a various materials including stone, bone, antler ivory sinew and baleen often depicting traditional Inuit practices, cosmologies, spiritualities and personal memories.
His work has been exhibited and collected across the country and had his first mid-career retrospective Saunituinnaulungitotluni | Beyond Bone at The Rooms in 2019.
Hear from the artist about his inspirations, process, and the story his largest work to date, The Earth Our Mother and the story of how it arrived on long term display in the art gallery.

In celebration of African History and Liberation join author Shania Sanderson for a look into her new book Always Expect the Unexpected.
About the book:

Her unique style of composing creative pieces will leave every reader searching for more.
